So what is West Bloomfield real estate like?  If you read my page on West Bloomfield relocation you will have seen that I said that homes in West Bloomfield are sought after because of the schools and the prestige of the city.  All major cities have those areas which tend to draw the affluent and have a higher demographic.  That is this community.

Even the lake homes draw much higher prices than the surrounding communities lakes.  But do not let that discourage you about West Bloomfield real estate prices.  Homes in the city are not outrageously expensively by any means.  There are some gated communities and some subdivisions that have elegant luxury homes in them.

The average home that you will be looking at will have at least a 2 car garage, a basement, usually a brick exterior, shingled roof, 3 bedroom, and 2 1/2 bath home ranging from 1500- 3000 square feet.  Most homes will be colonials.  That is the average.

Of course there are smaller bungalows, ranches, and split level homes.  Then on the higher end you will find luxury estate homes on bigger lots that range over 10,000 square feet in size.  You will find modern homes with all the latest amenities in most West Bloomfield real estate.  Most of the homes in the township are in well laid out subdivisions.  You are not going to find large open tracts of land to have 5+ acres on.  It just is not that type of town.  If you do find that big of a property you will pay for it.  I hope this gives you a little insight of what West Bloomfield real estate is like.

Right on the lakes you will find average sized West Bloomfield homes to luxury estate sizes homes.  When I say average sized homes most of the homes in the community will be in the 2000-3000 square foot range.  You will still find smaller, older homes around the outskirts of some of the lakes.  These homes are left over small cottages from the early 1920's - 1950's.  Over all you will find colonials, Tudors, ranches, and contemporary homes.
