So what can I tell you about real estate in Keego Harbor Michigan. First let me tell you that none of these pictures are of lakefront homes on Cass Lake, Dollar Lake, or Sylvan Lake. These are pictures of regular homes in Keego Harbor off the lakes.
Keego Harbor real estate is a mixture of lake homes and off the lake homes. A mixture of larger lake homes and small homes, a mix of older cottages and homes, and the newer homes that have replaced the others. Keego Harbor homes are going to be more desirable to home buyers with children because of the school district. West Bloomfield schools are one of the top ranked school systems in the area. So most parents would want to put then in that school district versus Waterford or Pontiac Schools. So Keego Harbor homes are where buyers want to be.
Of course you have to add in that these two lakes, Cass Lake and Sylvan Lake are a couple of the biggest all sports lakes in Oakland County. Many homes on Cass Lake are luxury waterfront estate. The old homes on the lake are being torn down to make way for the new. So you will find bigger homes in Keego Harbor on Cass Lake than on Sylvan Lake, on the whole. Many of the lake houses will have been remodeled, added onto, or completely torn down to build a modern lake home.
Remember that the community is not very large. So there will not be a lot of homes in Keego Harbor MI to chose from. On the average only 50 -70 homes are rented or sold each year. That is not a lot to chose from. In fact right now there are only 30 homes for sale in Keego Harbor in October of 2014.
There are homes that were built as early as the 1920's in the city. The homes range in size from 600 square feet to over 3000 square feet. If I had to say, I would say the average home is less than 1500 square feet. With most of them being in the 900 -2000 square foot range. You are going to find more modest homes here as a whole. My goal of these real estate pages is not to give you a absolute look at the homes in the area, but more of a glimpse of what the homes and real estate is like. So when you are moving to Keego Harbor you will know what to expect. I cannot take pictures or explain everything but I want to give you a feel of homes in Keego Harbor MI .
