Bloomfield Township MichiganWhy relocate to Bloomfield Township?  Why should you be looking at this Oakland County community if you have a Michigan relocation in your future?  Bloomfield is one of Oakland County's more affluent areas.  It is a highly desirable community with great schools.  Over the years when I have worked with Oakland County relocation buyers usually the school system is a top priority.  A good school system usually reflects that the city is a top city to move to. 

Bloomfield Township in Oakland County has a populations is 41,070 and the area is often referred to as “Bloomfield.” There is also a Bloomfield Hills nearby.  Together they nearly have 47,000 people living in Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township. Their homes are elegant and stately, with quiet tree-lined neighborhoods often located near small private lakes and ponds that dot the community.  It has a rolling topgraphy. The school systems are among America’s best. Many business and community leaders in Michigan have called the Bloomfield’s home. So why would you move to Bloomfield Michigan besides that is an affluent community?  The proximity to some of Metro Detroit financial and business centers is the second key.  Birmingham, Troy, Rochester, and Southfield are a short drive away.  To get on I-75 and get downtown is easy.  Being close to Telegraph Road can get you to M-59 and I-96 easily.   Getting to the airport is about a 40 minute ride.  So being near your place of business and not having to drive an hour back and forth is very important to my relocation buyers.  Is it for you?

The racial makeup of Bloomfield Township includes White, African American, Asian, Hispanic, Latino, Pacific Islander, Hawaiian, etc. By having a diverse community, people feel more comfortable and relaxed in the privacy of their home and not afraid of being judged for who they are. The median age for Bloomfield Township is 45 years old. For every 100 females there at 94 males. The average family size is 3.

Bloomfield Township police officers meet rigorous pre-employment qualifications. They are required to possess a four-year college degree. After being hired, they are obligated to stay up to date on law enforcement technology as well as the constant changes in laws they have sworn to uphold. Police officers manage to blend a law and order philosophy with service to the citizen.

The school districts that serve the town include the Avondale School District, Birmingham City School District, Pontiac School District, and the Bloomfield Hills School District. These are all great school districts except for Pontiac School District, they are all know for high test score on the MEAP, SAT and ACT’s along with athletics as well.  There are many high end homes even in the areas that are in the Pontiac School district.  Parents just send their children to private schools when they live in that area.

 Bloomfield Township has no central downtown.  Along Telegraph Road which is one of the main thoroughfares in the city you will find plenty of nationally known stores to get what you need.  You will also be going to West Bloomfield, Troy, Birmingham to shop.  Yes there are stores along Woodard Avenue to shop at but you are more likely to go to the other cities to really shop.  West Bloomfield is close by and is filled with high-end boutique stores and expensive restaurants that are worth taking a visit to. Each side of Orchard Lake Road is flanked with several and tons of long strip malls and shopping complexes.
