There are many high end homes even in the areas that are in the Pontiac School district. Parents just send their children to private schools when they live in that area.
Bloomfield Township has no central downtown. Along Telegraph Road which is one of the main thoroughfares in the city you will find plenty of nationally known stores to get what you need. You will also be going to West Bloomfield, Troy, Birmingham to shop. Yes there are stores along Woodard Avenue to shop at but you are more likely to go to the other cities to really shop. West Bloomfield is close by and is filled with high-end boutique stores and expensive restaurants that are worth taking a visit to. Each side of Orchard Lake Road is flanked with several and tons of long strip malls and shopping complexes.
