Though today I have first time home buyers buying $300,000 & $400,000 homes so I guess it could be a starter home community. You will find all sizes and style homes. You will even find a few estate homes on some larger parcels here in the city. I would call the city a middle class to upper middle class community.

Farmington Hills itself has 10,423 people within the city limits, with a median income of $75,578 and median home value of $173,900. There is no better place to live and no better value. The average price per square foot in Farmington Hills was $101, but has increased by 9.8% in the past calendar year.

The renowned Farmington Public School system enrolls more than 12,000 students and consists of 14 elementary schools, four middle schools and three high schools. There are quite a few private schools in the city too. Farmington Public Schools are known for their excellent football teams, high GPA's and the large parental involvement.
