Lake Angelus Relocation
So if you are considering a Lake Angelus relocation what is the community of Lake Angelus Michigan really like? It is one of the smallest communities in Michigan. It competes with Omer Michigan as the smallest community in Michigan. Lake Angelus has a population of only 326 people and has only 132 households. So it is very small. So how would I describe it?
Lake Angelus has a very unique environment and I would say it is an exclusive, private, and affluent community that is centered around the lake. The early 1900’s brought the division of large pieces of land that were used for agriculture and for the growth of a small community of people from Detroit, whose business lives were often related to the automobile. Even today many residents occupations are related to the auto industry. Thoughtful reflection and careful future planning have strengthened the community as a whole.
The community is a wealthy enclave with many estates on the lake. The population density per square mile is 121 people. It has one of the higher median income for a household in Metro Detroit at. I know a builder that has built at least 3 homes on the lake that ranged between 4 and 6 million dollars. I would say the incomes I am quoting are on the low side. Males had a median income of $100,000 and females had a median income of $48,750. The average price per square foot for a home for Lake Angelus is well over $200 a square foot. The median sales price for homes is $464,000 in 2012. If is an exclusive area. It almost feels like you are up north. The roads around the lake are gravel/dirt roads.
Lake Angelus belongs to the Waterford School District which is just an average school system in Metro Detroit. Many residents send their children to private schools. The district has 2 High Schools, 4 Middle Schools and 12 Elementary Schools. Waterford School District is the oldest school district, it was created in 1950. Lake Angelus schools spend $12,844 per student. The average school expenditure in the U.S. is $12,435. There are about 28.8 students per teacher in Waterford/Lake Angelus.
Like most of Michigan we have the four seasons. Many people who relocate to Michigan are nervous about the winter. We usually get about 40 inches of snow a year, whereas the average city gets about 25. Basically we get about 10 inches per month. We have many thaws throughout the winter so most of the time the snow is off the ground. Lake Angelus, MI, gets about 30 inches of rain per year. The US average is 37 inches. We have beautiful fall colors here in Lake Angelus because of the many mature trees. The number of days with any measurable precipitation is 120. On average, there are 179 sunny days per year in Lake Angelus, MI. The average temperature in July is around 83 degrees. The average temperature in January is 16. What you will like about relocating to Lake Angelus is that is just a few minutes away from an entrance ramp onto I-75. From the city you can jump on I-75 to get to downtown Detroit. The airport is about an hour away. So you have easy highway access that is very important to many people relocating to Oakland County.

Safety is always a big concern form my relocation clients. The Lake Angelus Police Department has officers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is only a small force, but there is so little crime here. They are more worried about criminals coming in from neighboring communities.James Prosser was hired by the City of Lake Angelus in September of 2005 as a Patrol Officer. In February 2006 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and then he was sworn in as Chief of Police on May 12, 2009. Previously, he had spent the last 25 years working for the Clawson Police Department and he also has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University. James Prosser is proud to serve as the Chief of Police for such a fine organization and community. He is committed to providing quality services to the residents of Lake Angelus, in the most efficient manner possible and believes that by continuing to focus on the community policing model, they will achieve even greater accomplishments.
Another great feature of the community that many women will love is that Great Lakes Crossing outlet mall is right at your doorstep. Not only are their outlet shops, but the surrounding area has so many national chain stores that you will be able to get whatever you need within a 10 minute ride of home. It is a shoppers paradise close by.
So if you are considering relocationg to Lake Angelus some of the top benefits of the area are that is is very private, very safe, and has some beautiful estate size lots and homes.
