If you are looking to relocate to Macomb County MI and you are from out of state you are you my wonder if they have the same of type of home that you are used to. Macomb County real estate os sp varoed that you will have no trouble finding a home that fits you. There is every type of home that you could possible want. There are small ranch homes that start at as little as 600 square feet. Then there are big colonials that range over 4000 square feet.
If you are looking for a luxury home in the million dollar plus range then Macomb County real estate is probably not the place you want to be looking. You are more likely to find a big beautiful luxury estate home in Oakland County. Macomb County homes are more modest. There were only 8 homes that sold for over $1,000,000 in the last 5 years. There were only 18 homes in the county that sold in the $750,000 to $1,000,000 range in the last 5 years. So this in not the place to look for lots of luxury home choices.
On the opposite end there were 1730 homes and condos that sold in the $10,000 to $50,000 range. Some of those homes will be in questionable neighborhoods with higher crime rates and so-so schools. The majority of the homes are in the $200,000 to $300,000 range.
So many different types of homes to choose from. There are big old Victorina homes, old farm houses, ranch houses on crawls and with basements, bungalows, split level homes, colonials, cape cods, and contemporary homes. The exteriors will be brick, vinyl, stone, aluminum siding, or wood. Or a combination of them.
Most homes will have basements and garages. Older subdivisions will usually allow you to have your yard fenced. Macomb County homes that were built in the last 15 years may have associations that will not allow you to fence your yard unless you have a pool. So if you are buying a new home be sure to check if you need to put in a fence before you buy.
If you are looking for prestigious highly affluent communities then Macomb County MI is not the place to start looking when buying a home in Metro Detroit. There are many beautiful larger homes in such commuities as Shelby Township, Macomb Township, and Clinton Town.
The last type of real estate in Macomb County MI is waterfront homes. Macomb County does not have large all sports lakes. There are many lakefront and canal front homes along Lake St. Clair. That is where you will find waterfront homes in the county.
