Welcome to Oakland County Metro Detroit's wealthiest county. We have so much to offer anybody looking to relocate to Oakland County MI. First let's talk about business in the county. You will not find alot of big manufacturing plants in the county. There is many small manufacturing companies here though. What you will find alot if office complexes. When Detroit went down hill many companies moved out of Detroit they moved out to cities like Southfield, Troy, and Auburn Hills. These are the three big business centers were there are hundreds of companies in each of these three citys. Thousands of workers travel each day to these communities to work. There are probably more companies and office workers in these three cities than in the City of Detroit. If you are relocating to Oakland County because your company is in Oakland County there is a very slim chance that your company will move to Detroit. So what does that mean for you if you work and live in the county? Your drive time should be short!
So what type of communities will you find here. You will find several communities that have old time downtowns that are still very vibrant and active. Downtown areas like Milford, Ferndale, Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Rochester have festivals, music in the park, farmers markets, and so much more to bring residents and other people from surrounding communities into the downtown areas. You will find unique boutique stores, mom and pop restaurants, and coffee shops that are not national chains. That is what makes these downtown areas so unique. Pontiac is the questionable community with poor schools and a higher crime rates. We have communities that have no downtown areas like Highland, White Lake, West Bloomfield but have major roads that are like the downtowns because the main roads have so many stores and restaurants that there is no need for a downtown area. We have some border communities that share a boundary with Detroit. I call these border communities because some of the areas in these cities closest to Detroit have higher crime rates.

Client reviews of Russ Ravary
Russ was an amazing Realtor to work with, I had a tight timeline and many demands in a house that I was looking for and Russ was able to meet and exceed my expectations in an extremely fast timeline. Once Russ found the home I was looking for, he took over and worked directly with the seller and my mortgage team to make sure everything was achieved successfully and ahead of schedule. I was able to close earlier than expected thanks to Russ's ability to drive the process along. He has a very pleasant personality and not the typical pushy realtors that I have used in the past. He will be open and honest about a house you look at and has vast knowledge of the market for price points. I want to thank Russ for partnering in the home buying process with me as he truly was a partner and asset to me rather than just a realtor. Looking forward to working with him on my next home purchase! I highly recommend Russ to anyone out there looking to sell or purchase a home. Class act!!
Russ rocks! From our first conversation I had good feelings about working with Russ. He was quick to tell me everything that I needed to know about selling my house, and he understood that I was looking for somebody to take care of everything possible since I had a very busy schedule. In the end I got more than asking price and I only had to move out and sign paperwork! I highly recommend Russ, he will get the job done.
We were connected with Russ through a program with our mortgage company. We really lucked out being first time home buyers. Russ was very knowledgeable and patient with my wife and I. We had a LOT of questions and he was happy to answer all of them very quickly either over the phone or in a prompt email. We are very grateful for all the help Russ gave us in finding our first home and we couldn't be happier. We have recommended Russ to 3 different family members and friends. They have all had similar experiences and I know they will use Russ again in the future.
