Royal Oak Relocation

Detroit ZooMoving to Michigan and the Metro Detroit area.  If you are younger, or single, or still enjoy the life without children a Royal Oak relocation may be what you are looking for.  Royal Oak is no doubt metro Detroit's young person's city.  They used to call them yuppies ( I think I dated myself) and now the are something like the X or Y generation.  Who knows, but the bottom line is if you are young and like a city with active night life then Royal Oak is the place to be.  The city has one of the largest downtown areas in the suburbs that is full of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and small boutique stores.

Downtown Royal Oak MI

It is a city that residents from around Metro Detroit go to.  A night out with friends may be Royal Oak if you are single.  Not to say that people of all ages do not live in the city or come to the city.  Hey I am 56 years old and I like going there for the great restaurants.  It is always lively with people walking the streets anytime of the day or evening.   There are 5.3 miles of walkable downtown sidewalks. Over 85 boutiques, salons and retail shops and even a very good comedy club.  There are over 750 outdoor seats at over 70 restaurants. There are rooftop bars and areas to eat on the street while watching the people walk by.  The older generation like to "walk" the downtown area for exercise.

Royal Oak Michigan

The downtown area has some huge events each year in addition to small events for the residents like music acts, and the memorial day parade.  There are 3 big events that I have to mention.  Woodward Dream cruise goes through the city in August.  It  huge day of car watching.  Thousands of people come to Royal Oak to see historic car owner show off their vehicles.  It is an amazing day for anybody that interest in cars and history.  On Labor Day weekend they have Arts, Beats, and Eats.  Amazing food, and great music acts from across the country come to the city for the weekend.  Then there is an arts festival for you to come and pick up some great art from artisans from across the country and local artists too.  Fun activities for the whole family.  So if you are relocating to Oakland County MI and looking for a funky active downtown with events for the whole family then come visit Royal Oak.  Here are two more downtown events  the Holiday magical parade and the craft beer stroll. So the city is alive not only at night but also very active during the day.

The City of Royal Oak is in a great spot in metro Detroit.  I-75 and I-696 are right here to jump on whether you are going up to DTE for a concert or to the Palace for a basketball game.  Go south you will be in downtown Detroit for a ball game in no time at all.  Or go east to the Lake St. Clair or the big lake as some of the locals call it.  The easy access to the freeways will make your life so easy when you relocate to Royal Oak.  Of course Woodward Avenue cuts through the city.  You can drive a few miles north to upscale Birmingham's downtown shopping area or all the way into downtown Detroit.  Great place to live that is easy to get around in.

If you are looking for a upper end community you may consider moving to Birmingham or relocating to Beverly Hills
